The Cousin Carnival

I saw on Pinterest an idea for a “cousin carnival”, and immediately wanted to do it with my kids and their cousins.  After talking with my mom about it, we planned it for July 4th.  We made a fabulous sign to welcome everyone!

We had our “carnival treat” table all set up.

We also had our “Cuddly Cousins Carnival Caterpillars” hanging up!!  (My mom found these, and had to get them since carnivals always have stuffed animals to win!  She also loved that they were “cousin” caterpillars!  They are slightly tragic, but awesome at the same time!)

We gathered all of the kids, and then we were ready for our carnival to begin!

Each family came up with what they would do at their booth.  It was fun to see all of the different games!  The kids all got a prize after they played each game. 

The booths:

Throw a ball in the Dolphin’s ring

Squirt the Ping Pong balls

Marshmallow Target Shooter

Fish Pond

Bean Bag Toss

Then all played the games many many times!  Then they gathered around and got their popcorn, cotton candy and peanuts along with their creepy Cuddly Caterpillar!  I hope all of the kids had a good time.  My kids loved all the games and  had a great time with their prizes as well!  I think the 1st Cousin Carnival was a success!  Hopefully we can have more in the future!!
