My mom has done it again! Planned a super fun sports-themed party that we were all excited to attend! This time it was a hockey party!! We started with mom telling them a little bit about hockey, since not all of the little kids were familiar with it.
Then it was on to some fun games she had set up. We played a couple with balloons, the second one being a “blow your balloon down the rain gutter”. Most of the kids just pushed theirs.
Except Lily, who, after watching many cousins’ balloons pop, refused to put hers in the gutter. There were so many tears over lost balloons, that we finally made a game of it and everyone tried to pop their balloons and were all smiles again!
Our next game involved hockey sticks which was just too cute !! They all really loved trying to get their ball down the little “path”.
Then we played a fun game where we threw hockey balls into a goal.
Then grandma had a fun surprise for all of the kids!
They all got their water guns and had to shoot at a target. The kids had a great time with this, and then it turned into….
A WATER FIGHT!!!
The kids loved it, and even started shooting at the adults!
Once we all got a little wet fun out of our system, it was on to more games! They got to use a hockey stick again and shoot a puck at a tower of cans. I loved watching them play this game!! They were so cute!
For our last game, we split the kids into two teams.
Team SAVANNAH
and team MICHAELA
They worked as a team to flick all of their noodle circles into a basket. Unfortunately, half of Michaela’s team deserted her, but it was a good effort for all!!
Once the games were over, we feasted on all things ROUND
and ICEY!!!!
The kids were also awarded with their very own Stanley Cup!
We had such a great time at the Hockey Party! We enjoyed playing with cousins and getting WET some more before we headed home!
I love my mom and how much fun she loves to have with the grandkids! They always look forward to her parties and talk about them for weeks after!! Thanks mom for another great time!!
