I love this time of year and the focus on all that we have to be grateful for. I know I have been blessed with so many wonderful things; my family- the great big extended versions and our cute little one, Jason’s job, our lovely home, my wonderful calling. I am also so grateful to live in this great country and have the freedoms that we have. I am grateful for the gospel in my life. For the knowledge it gives me to guide my life, and also the peace and comfort that come from it. I could go on and on, and I am so grateful for everything in my life!
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We spent the morning at home. The kids watched the parade, and I got our part of the meal ready. We then headed on over to Grandma and Grandpa Medico’s for dinner.
Our cute little family. I might look a little different than normal. Because of an awful ulcer in my eye, I was forced to wear glasses for a week. (Me and glasses are not friends, but we tried to get along for the sake of my eye healing. Not to mention, they are an old prescription, and so everything was just a little OFF.)
My cute kiddos all ready for their Thanksgiving Feast!
Jared discovered the joy that comes from eating olives off your fingers!
Jason and his dad.
One of the only pictures of everyone else there that I am allowed to post. I definitely took many many more, but was warned heavily against putting ANY of them on my blog. This was the BOY table. Michael was the only one who would look at the camera. Thanks Mike!
Cute little Tori.
After dinner, the cousins had a wonderful time playing outside.
At one point, one of my kids’ shoes was thrown up on the roof, and Jason and Gabe got it down.
Later on, we had PIE! Yum.
We all gathered around to watch a movie and then some of the kids entertained themselves on the games on my ipad.
It was a fun day. Not everyone from the Medico clan was there, but we sure had a nice time with those who were!
Later on, I headed out for my annual Black Friday Shopping with my mom, sisters and brother.
It was crazily starting on Thursday night this year. We had lots of fun even though it was the craziest one I have ever been to! I am not sure if I like it at night or in the morning better. I am a night person, so it’s much easier for me to stay up than wake up, but there are lots more crazies out at night too! It was nuts to see how many security and police officers there were roaming the store. People sure do get nuts about a deal! I only made it to two stores this year, and only bought something at one, but it was still worth all the rush!
Happy Thanksgiving!!
