This is just a post about a few things we have done lately, but they don’t really need their own post. Also, I am REALLY behind in blogging and need to just get this all out there….read if you dare!
Savannah and I went to her best friend Tami’s baptism. It was really nice to share in her special day, and Savannah was so happy for her friend!
We had Young Women in Excellence. We decided to do something a little different, and had a dinner. We also decided, to save ourselves from loads of stress, to have the dinner catered! It was fantastic! We also got a member of the bishopric to speak, so we got to relax, enjoy yummy food and listen to a great talk! What a wonderfully stress free night! I decided to put together a centerpiece for each table, and this is what I came up with.
I was too busy eating the yumminess to take pictures of the food, just know it was great!
We did manage to sneak a picture of all of our girls, us leaders and even the Stake leaders who came. I love being in Young Women’s and feeling the wonderful spirit from these cute girls!
The girls had a day off school, so I decided to take them to the church history museum. We got there right at 9am and had the place to ourselves for an entire hour! It was so fun! After other kids started coming, it got a little crazy, but we were glad for the time we got to play!
The girls both entered the Festival of Arts at their school. When we went to SEP’s they had them all set up to look at. Both girls got first place in their age and category! They were both super excited!
Michaela, 1st place K-2, Art
Savannah, 1st place 3-4, Literature
I was invited to a girls night out to see Breaking Dawn. We had a blast dressing in the colors (cheesy, I know), sneaking in food (he he!), and giggling together like teenagers! (those Transformer talking wolves sent me into a tizzy!!)
Afterword, we got to have a fun grown-up sleepover! (which all of my girls informed me was weird) We had yummy soup, gave ourselves pedicures, ate snacks, made flower clips and talked and talked and talked!
I met lots of new friends, and hung out with ones I haven’t seen in way too long! It was a great night! Thanks Megan!
I got to host another House Party. I LOVE these things! This one was a Just Dance 3 for Kinect party. We love our Kinect and always enjoy finding new games. This one was for sure a new family favorite! We also got Just Dance Kids 2, which had some really fun little songs that even Jared knew!
And a party isn’t a party without some snacks! The kids really loved those!
And THAT is November in a nutshell! (A very very LARGE nutshell…)
