Our Announcement!

Last week, we gathered our kids all around us because we had an exciting announcement for them.  I think they knew something was up and were on pins and needles when we sat them down.  We took a video, but it was really dark for some reason (still figuring out all the settings on my new camera) and I don’t know how to upload those things.  (Is there a “blogging for dummies” help book out there somewhere?) 

So anyway, back to business.  Our big announcement.  We had fun keeping this from the kids and deciding to tell them at just the right moment.

I was on picture duty, so Jason told them.  “Kids, this summer…….

 

 

 

 

 

We are going to DISNEYLAND!”

I love their looks!  Michaela looks so confused, Lily still isn’t really sure what is going on and Savannah is so shocked!!  The first word out of both Savannah and Michaela’s mouths was “Again!?” 

Then we told them the rest of the excitement.  We are traveling down and first spending 4 days with Aunt Ashley & Uncle Luis.  Then we will go stay in a hotel near Disneyland with Grandma, Grandpa and Uncle Davey!  Ash and Lu are planning on joining us for part of our Disney fun too!!

We are so excited for our adventure this summer!  We are getting all of our planning into place and making all of our arrangements.  It is going to be a crazy long vacation and I hope they can all handle being gone for that long.  We just really wanted the extra time to spend with our fun aunt and uncle! 

Oh, and some of you may be wondering where Jared was during all of this…

…playing of course!  We told him and he gave us this look!  I love taking the little ones who really don’t know what is going on, but get so excited by everything once we are there!!  (Lily was a little younger on our first trip than Jared will be)  Since this is our 2nd time with our kids, we feel like we know a little bit more and will maybe know how to navigate things a little better.  Whatever happens, it will be so much fun to have some fun with our family—our own little crew and some of our extended as well! 

Hooray for summer!!  It’s almost HERE!!!!
