Dance Recital 2011

Savannah and Michaela had their Spring Dance Recital on Saturday the 21st.  They did such a great job and it was so fun to see how much they learned in dance this year!

Savannah had to be there and hour early to practice some of her dances.  Jason dropped me and the girls off and he took Lily and Jared to McDonalds to eat and play so they would *hopefully* be a little better behaved at the recital.  For the most part it worked!

They were each in FOUR dances, and I was so nervous about helping them change and still being able to see all the dances.  Savannah was able to get from costume to costume by herself, and Michaela had the same basic bottom for 3 of the 4 dances, so it all worked out.

Here are my cute dancing girls!!

Savannah in “Ghostbusters”  (The opening number with several other classes)

026029

Michaela in “Boot Scoot and Boogie”

036037038

Savannah in “The Love You Save”

045046

Michaela in “Boo” (this is a little dance all the girls learn and dance around Halloween.  They never perform it though because there is not a Halloween recital.  Their dance teacher decided to let the younger students all dance it this year anyway!)

059061

Savannah in “Dancehall Queen”

071073

Michaela in “Rockin’ Robin” (She was so funny in this dance!  Her feathers kept falling in her face while she danced and she would flip her head to get them out of the way!)

081088

Michaela in “I Have Learned a Ballet Dance”

091094095101

Savannah in “Footloose” (This was the finale with a bunch of other classes.  She was on and off so fast I didn’t get many good pictures of her)

My mom, sister Amber and niece Emma all came to watch the girls.  Amber had even run a marathon that morning!!  Grandma brought the girls flowers which they loved!  Emma was so cute and loved the girls costumes.  Thanks for coming and supporting us!
