Now that older sisters are back in school, there is a lot of time for Lily, Jared and I to play. On the first day of school, we were all kind of in a weird funk, and to give us something to do, I suggested we go on a walk. Both kids were super excited about the walk, and I even decided to take Jared without the stroller, so he could just explore.

Lily insisted on wearing bunny ears on our walk.
It was fun to watch them explore together, although they were rarely “together”. Usually one of them would dart ahead and the other would lag behind and then vice versa.
They sure did explore though!
I also realized after we were about halfway how blasted HOT it was outside. But we managed to have fun anyway, and I finally corralled them back to our house.
I then let them have a picnic in our backyard. It was funny for me to try to take pictures of them when they had already started eating.
After (or sometimes during) lunch we also played on the swing set.
I sure do love these two! They have actually adapted really well to our new schedule. Lily has stepped up as a major helper around our house. They are the best of friends together, and are still super excited once older sisters come home. I love getting to spend a little more time with them and it’s also a nice bonus that they both still take naps and I once again get to have a little “me” time without kids each day. I am also glad both older girls are in all day school, (so I am not back and forth to the school all day), and I am looking forward to taking these two on some fun field trips!!
It’s going to be a fun year!
