At least that’s what our kids said.
We went on a date.
You might wonder why that is so terrible.
Well……
We went to Seven Peaks. WITHOUT them!
Oh, the horror!!!!
There were tears. There was gnashing of teeth. There were giant tantrums thrown.
There were tearful questions about what we would be doing? Were we going to go down their favorite slides? Were we going to go in the WAVE POOL?!?!?
They couldn’t BELIEVE we would do something so crushing and so mean to them.
But we did.
And we had a great time.
We went down every single slide. (well except for the two that we are both afraid of….)
We lazed down the lazy river.
We swung on the rope swing.
We sat in the hot tub. Because we could.
We did not go to the kiddie area.
We did, in fact, go in the wave pool.
We EVEN, bought ourselves a little treat. (shhhh, don’t tell!)
When we got home, we were exhausted for the remainder of the day.
We woke up the next day REEEEAAAALLLLLY sore!!
We think it was WAY harder to go together than it EVER is with our kids. (with our kids we at least get a break!)
Lesson learned.
It was our first, and last, date to the waterpark.
Next time we ditch them, we will get a nice massage instead!

That is too funny! Glad you learned your lesson...lol!! Have the kids forgiven you???
That sounds so fun!
Josh thinks once we have kids it will still be much funner {that's a word right?} to go to Disneyland without them. So someday we might be right up there with you on the 'worst parents' list:) Good for you guys for getting away and having a blast!
