I can’t believe summer is over! *sniff sniff* I always feel sad when our lazy (or not-so-lazy) days come to an end. I want to do as much as possible with my kiddos before they head off to school again. I also feel like I was gone A LOT this summer, and wanted to spend a little more time with them before our routine and schedule starts again.
Last Monday morning, I woke them up and told them to get dressed and ready to go. They immediately protested that they hadn’t eaten, and I told them not to worry about it. Savannah immediately knew something was up and started drilling me with questions about what we were doing. “Are we going to grandma’s? Are we going to Amber’s? Are we going to breakfast in the park?” Dang kid! She guessed it! At least she didn’t know what we were having. As soon as she got in the car she started drilling me again. “Are we having McDonalds? Are we having Bagels?!” Yes again.
We got our breakfast and headed to the park. They all loved eating a yummy breakfast!!
And then it was off to play! They had so much fun playing before it was hot and we had the place to ourselves!
After our morning at the park, I took the girls to the mall to pick out earrings. They were so excited and had fun picking out their favorites! After, I let them play in the splash park. They were all a little timid at first, because they weren’t in swimming suits.
Michaela and Lily were soon dripping wet and playing in the water like crazy!!
Savannah stayed pretty timid, but Michaela wanted her to play, so soon she was picking Savannah up and dragging her over to the water.
It was pretty funny! She still wasn’t that wet, but she came over and dried off in the sun anyway.
Jared was my most timid one, as he always is around water. It takes him a while to warm up to it.
So he mainly hung out with me!
Finally, right before we left, he inched a little closer, but would only stick out his little hand!
It was a fun morning for everyone and a perfect start to our last week of summer!!
