Best “Shaved Ice” I’ve ever Had

We had our summer ward party last week, and it was wonderful.  Except for the fact that my other half didn’t make it.  He was home late from work and then felt really nauseous from being in an office with no a/c all day and didn’t want to come sit out in the hot sun.  Sad.

So, I took the kids by myself.  They all had a good time.  It was a little tricky keeping them all at the table while we were trying to eat.  I finally went and got my stroller and plunked Jared down in it.  He threw a royal fit.  (I really hope the rest of the ward is not completely annoyed at me for ignoring his protests.) 

The kids had a great time with their friends.  I got to talk to some of mine too, which is always nice.  And then the icing on the cake happened, the REASON we all really came to such an event.  The Shaved Ice! (don’t you DARE call them a sno cone!  At least not while the Mangone’s are in earshot!)

My kids all loved them.  In fact, they all had many, many helpings.

I have never tasted such yummy shaved ice in all of my life!  I even managed to down two of them! 

We had a great time at the ward party!!

 

 

Now, comes a very special part of this post.  I would like to dedicate this post to the very special Lisa, who is an emerging rockstar of the blogging world.  While it is true that she only began this blogging career a few short months ago, she has taught me so much about it.  I had the privilege of being featured on her blog in a post exactly like very similar to this one.  It was very sincerely the BEST DAY OF MY LIFE!!  I do not know how to repay her, except to ALSO post a picture of her on my blog. 

I know she will love it. In fact, I am pretty sure it will now be the high point of her life and every moment will have to live up to this one. Your Welcome Lisa.
